Mischaël Modrikamen is one of the most renowned lawyers in Belgium.
He notably represents investors, citizens against financial groups and public institutions.
In 1996, he obtained a court decision against CGER Bank to pay €25 million to subscribers of Confederation Life Eurobonds.
In 1998, Modrikamen forced a record settlement of €3 billion for the 800,000 members of Cera, during the merger with KB.
In 2001, he negotiated the restitution of Jewish property looted since 1945 by banks and insurance companies, for a total amount of €111 million.
During the 2008 financial crisis, Modrikamen got an injunction against the dismantling of Fortis. BNP Paribas must give up its takeover of AG Insurance, worth €7 billion. The Belgian government consequently resigned !
